Though classroom learning is at the heart of any graduate program, becoming involved in a club or an advisory board offers a unique opportunity to expand your knowledge, develop your leadership skills, and build your network.
Offering educational, professional, and community-building opportunities, the MBA Student Association (MBASA) is comprised of over 40 active student-led organizations that focus on career paths, diversity, sports/activities and other interests.
Clubs and student organizations are a unique part of the UNC Kenan-Flagler MBA experience. They foster camaraderie and connection. They’ll allow you to explore specific careers, participate in activities with those who share similar passions, and take on leadership roles that shape the School and our community, and prepare you for your post-MBA career.
"Being Energy Club president was the most fulfilling experience I had at UNC Kenan-Flagler. It helped me prepare to be a leader in the energy industry. I coordinated with faculty, my club leadership team, and external companies to provide rewarding experiences to our club members. It tested my leadership skills, my ability to delegate, and strategic planning capabilities."
We encourage companies that wish to engage with our students to volunteer time and resources by partnering with career clubs and other student organizations. Please contact club leaders (listed above) to discuss case competitions, site visits, speaking opportunities, and event sponsorships.
