Logistics
The Alpha Challenge is held at the Carolina Inn, a mainstay of the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill campus for more than 95 years. The Inn offers refined southern hospitality in a historic setting. It’s a short walk to the medical center, football stadium, basketball arena and charming downtown Franklin Street.
Event Location
Investment Management for All: Wealth and Women daytime event on Wednesday will take place in the Kenan Center at the Kenan-Flagler Business School located at 300 Kenan Center Drive, Chapel Hill, NC 27599
All daytime events on Thursday and Friday will take place on site at the Carolina Inn located at 211 Pittsboro Street, Chapel Hill, NC 27516.

Hotel Payment & Cancellation Policy
- Alpha Challenge discounted group rate requires a full deposit by November 11, 2024 (room + tax for each evening).
- After group cutoff date of November 11, 2024 all reservations are non-cancellable and non-refundable for any reason.
- Cancelling after November 11, 2024 will result in a forfeiture of entire deposit amount.
Competing students:
Your hotel rooms will be reserved for you by the conference organizers. Each team will have 2 rooms per night (one room will be shared by 2 people).
Transportation
The nearest airport is the Raleigh Durham International airport (RDU). RDU is approximately 18 miles to the hotel, or a quick 30-35 minute ride.
The RDU website has information on ground transportation. The area is also well served by Uber or Lyft.
On Wednesday, shuttle buses will be arranged for transportation from the business school to the Carolina Inn evening activities.
