Donor Recognition

Cornerstone Society donors provide critical funds that enable the dean to pursue the School’s highest priorities. They enable us to continue providing exceptional educational opportunities to our students and faculty. The collective power of these gifts has an immediate and tangible impact and enables UNC Kenan-Flagler to sustain its reputation as one of the best business schools in the world. Cornerstone Society members qualify for the Dean’s Circle at the Presidents level. Couples’ gifts are combined and corporate matching gifts are included.

Membership criteria

• Annual giving to the Fund for UNC Kenan-Flagler totaling $25,000 or more
• Planned gifts included
• Matching gifts included
• Couples’ giving combined
• Cash gifts between July 1 and June 30 (pledges excluded)
• Members enrolled at the end of each fiscal year

The Ann Christian Goodno Loyalty Society recognizes UNC Kenan-Flagler’s consecutive-year donors and donors who have set up recurring gifts to the School. The society is named in honor of Ann Christian Goodno (BSCOM ’45), who supported the Business School for 75 years before her passing in 2020.

Her legacy continues today through the Ann Christian Goodno Loyalty Society. She embraced and practiced the act of giving to inspire others to continue this legacy.

The Dean’s Circle recognizes annual donors of $2,000 and above to UNC Kenan-Flagler. This select group of donors contributes over 90 percent of all private funds to the School annually —leading the way for other philanthropic support. These gifts — combined with all other private support—fund over 15% of our annual operating budget.  We need the support of our Dean’s Circle members to continue providing exceptional educational opportunities to our students and faculty. There has never been a more important time to invest in UNC Kenan-Flagler.

Members will receive access to exclusive events, including the annual Dean’s Circle Reception in the fall, periodic updates from Dean Mary Margaret Frank and the opportunity to join the UNC Kenan-Flagler Alumni Council.

Giving levels

• Presidents: $25,000 and above
• Partners: $10,000 – $24,999
• Directors: $5,000 – $9,999
• Managers: $2,000 – $4,999

The 1919 Society recognizes donors who have demonstrated their dedication to UNC Kenan-Flagler by achieving substantial cumulative lifetime giving. The 1919 Society honors our most generous and committed  donors at four giving levels. Contributions may benefit multiple designations at the School. Today the support of the 1919 Society is more important than ever. We extend our deep gratitude to you for helping UNC Kenan-Flagler fulfill our mission.

• Founders: $5 million and above
• Benefactors: $1 million – $4,999,999
• Stewards: $500,000 – $999,999
• Stakeholders: $100,000 – $499,999

• Lifetime giving to UNC Kenan-Flagler of $100,000 and above
• Planned gifts included
• Matching gifts included
• Couples’ giving combined
• Cash only (pledges excluded)
• Members enrolled at the end of each fiscal year

The Dudley Carroll Society honors alumni and friends who make simple bequests to the School or name the School as a beneficiary of a living trust, life insurance policy or a qualified retirement plan. You can also become a member by establishing a charitable gift annuity, charitable remainder trust or charitable lead trust. The society is named for the Business School’s first dean, Dudley DeWitt Carroll. Members of the Dudley Carroll Society help ensure the continued excellence and impact of the School for years to come, and support future generations of UNC Kenan-Flagler students.

 Membership criteria

• Make a gift of any amount to the UNC Kenan-Flagler Business School Foundation from your will, revocable trust, retirement plan or other estate plan.
• Complete the Deferred Information Sheet.

Provide us with a copy of that portion of your estate plan pertaining to the gift.
