Christine Choi’s research centers on interfirm collaboration; corporate entrepreneurship, including corporate venture capital investments; digital platforms; and competitive and corporate strategy.

She focuses on how firms grow by expanding their portfolios of collaborative relationships and corporate scope. Specifically, she examines how expansion decisions and outcomes are influenced by interdependencies across multiple partnerships, competitive pressures posed by competitors and resource allocation strategies of partner firms.

Her recent work has been published in the Strategic Management Journal. She has received several awards and grants, including the SMS Best Paper Award, Academy of Management (AOM) Best Paper Proceedings, AOM Distinguished Paper Award, AOM Outstanding Reviewer Awards, Ross Doctoral Research Grant and Rackham Graduate Student Research Grant.

Dr. Choi teaches courses in strategy and entrepreneurship.

She received her PhD in strategy from the Stephen M. Ross School of Business at the University of Michigan. She earned her MS in business administration with a major in international business from Seoul National University and her BA in economics with a minor in statistics from the University of Illinois Urbana-Champaign.
