In the modern business world, achieving business objectives goes further than growing the bottom line. At the #1 ranked UNC Kenan-Flagler Master of Accounting Program (MAC), we provide a solid foundation in accounting knowledge and skill development for our students, who range from early career professionals to senior leadership. Further, our students learn how to work with, and manage, people from many different backgrounds. Because accounting is as much about people as it is about numbers. MAC students are ready to take on greater challenges for employers — including management roles — sooner than they might be able to otherwise.
At all levels, our graduates have achieved remarkable success in accounting roles, on finance teams, and in the business world. They typically start with a role within an accounting firm or on a corporate finance team where they employ the technical talents they’ve learned as well as the soft skills in teamwork and interpersonal communications. Our graduates develop fluency with the principles and practice of accounting while being impactful leaders in their industry. Many students seek employment through our premier Structured Recruiting event each year and the network of firms and corporations who recruit our students from UNC Kenan-Flagler is always expanding.
