Our Master of Science in Management (MSM) is designed for recent undergraduates looking to enhance their major with both hard and soft business skills to enter the workforce. By bringing together a diverse group of students from various disciplines, we foster fresh perspectives and create a collaborative cohort.
Over the 10-month program, students leverage their strengths while developing strategic and tactical business skills aligned with their career goals. The curriculum introduces key business concepts that complement their undergraduate studies and support their personal and professional aspirations.

My Goal
As a biology major nearing graduation, I initially planned to pursue medical school. However, I realized my true interest lies in combining science with business. I wanted to transition into the corporate side of science, leveraging my biology background while gaining the business skills needed for roles in innovation and strategy.
My Plan
To bridge the gap between science and business, I decided to pursue a Master of Science in Management. This degree will provide me with the business skills I need—such as strategy, marketing, and finance—while still allowing me to apply my undergraduate degree. By building a strong foundation in management, I will hold a competitive edge allowing me to land a role like Biotech Associate for leading Biotech company.

My Goal
I’ve always had my mind set on becoming a journalist. My dream job would be to secure an opportunity in D.C. working for The Washington Post. After working part-time and applying for various opportunities without traction, I’ve decided to pursue an MSM be to add additional credentials to stand out and secure an entry-level position that will help me build my career.
My Plan
After obtaining a Master of Science in Management, I am considering entering the agency circuit, starting as a copywriter or I might pursue an entry-level PR and communications specialist role. Either path would help me gain valuable experience and move closer to my goal of building a career as a journalist.

Fun Fact: Every year, my New Year’s resolution is to discover 12 new museums, one for each month.
My Goal
Landing my dream job at as museum curator seemed like a challenge as an Art History major nearing graduation. I began to reflect on the opportunities available in the job market and felt uncertain about how to stand out. With a bit more on my resume, I could position myself to break into the industry I’m most passionate about.
My Plan
To bridge the gap, I decided to pursue a Master of Science in Management. By strengthening my business knowledge, I will be well-positioned to pursue roles within the arts sector that require both creative insight and strategic thinking! My hope is that this additional Master’s degree will be the resume boost I need to land an entry-level role as a Museum Specialist!

Fun Fact: I financed most of my undergraduate degree fixing and flipping computers for gamers.
My Goal
I got into Computer Science because I always had a knack for rebuilding computer towers in high school and thought it would be the right fit. As I get closer to completing my undergraduate studies, I realize I’m more interested in the tech industry from the innovation side and would love the opportunity to land a role at an emerging tech start-up.
My Plan
I was encouraged to pursue a Master of Science in Management (MSM) alongside my undergraduate degree to enhance my credentials. After harnessing the power of business acumen, I’ll use both degrees to enter the tech space in the Triangle.
