Student can choose to take either one or two 6-week courses within the 6-week session. Enrollment in the 2-week course format or 3-week course format is NOT permitted.
Each CBS course is worth 7.5 ECTS credits. 7.5 ECTS credits is the equivalent of 4.5 UNC Credits. Per Kenan-Flagler policies, the maximum amount of Business credit students can receive per course is 3 credit hours, thus each CBS course will transfer back 3 Business credit hours + 1.5 general elective credit hours.
The following courses are approved for Business core credit for Summer 2024:
- BHAAI1015U: Introduction to Marketing for BUSI 406 (3 credits towards BUSI 406 + 1.5 credits of general elective hours)
- BHAAI1041U : Organisational Behaviour and Organisational Analysis for BUSI 405 (3 credits towards BUSI 405 + 1.5 credits of general elective hours)
The following courses are approved for Business elective credit for Summer 2024 (each course will count as 3 credits of business elective hours + 1.5 credits of general elective hours). All other 6-week courses offered at CBS in Summer 2024 that are not on the list below are NOT approved for business credit. To study abroad through Kenan-Flagler, you must take at least one business course while you are abroad, so if you choose to take a course that is not approved for business credit, you must be taking your second course for business credit.

Courses taken at the Copenhagen Business School will transfer back to UNC Pass (CBS grade of 2 and above)/Fail (CBS grade below 2). Pass grades do not affect your UNC GPA. Fail grades transfer back to UNC as Fs, which will affect your UNC GPA. Though transfer credit for this program is Pass/Fail, future employers and graduate schools will also look at the CBS transcript, so grades are important. View the ‘Credit Hour Conversions’ accordion on the ‘Academics Procedures‘ page for detailed information on credit hour conversion from CBS to UNC. If you take two courses, you will transfer back 9 total credits to UNC. If you take one course, you will transfer back 4.5 total credits to UNC.
This program also fulfills the Experiential Education/High-Impact Experience requirement.
