2025 IMC Alumni Reunion & UG Alpha Competition

Join us April 24, 2025, for the Investment Management Center’s end-of-year celebrations. We will kick off with a two-day event with PRIME Presentations, followed by our IMC Board/Action Council meetings, and concluding with the AIM Board meeting, end of year awards and a reception for all. We will wrap up the event with the third annual Undergrad Alpha Competition.

Our MBA Alpha Challenge's success inspired the creation of the Undergrad Alpha Competition. Join us for the third annual Undergrad Alpha Competition, April 25, which will conclude with competition results and a take-away lunch.

Thursday, April 24:

12-12:30 p.m. – Registration and Lunch: Outside of PNC Capital Markets Lab

12:30-1:50 p.m. – PRIME final presentations: McColl 2600
Get a glimpse of what PRIME has grown into through the eyes of our students. The PRIME program was born out of a discussion amongst alumni and other key stakeholders in 2021.  Come and see how this idea has come to fruition and developed into a flourishing experiential class! For all alumni and friends of the program, current PRIME students and prospective UNC PRIME students.

2-4:20 p.m. – IM Board/Action Council meeting: Kenan Center 204
How do we continue to elevate UNC Kenan-Flagler’s brand in the Investment Management industry? Learn how alumni are playing an active role in this endeavor and join us for a highly interactive session on how you can be part of this journey. We encourage all alumni, friends of the program, and faculty to please join this session.

4:30-5:50 p.m. – AIM Board meeting: Kenan Center 204
The Applied Investment Management (AIM) course has long been a cornerstone of the Capital Markets and Investment Management curriculum and a key to student success. Join us for our bi-annual board meeting – all are welcome!

6-6:30 p.m. – Graduation ceremony: Koury Auditorium
We would also take this opportunity to congratulate all our graduates for their incredible achievements during their time at Carolina! Alumni, friends of the program, faculty/staff, graduates, student leaders – please join us!

6:30-7:30 p.m. – Reception: Outside Koury Auditorium
We will conclude the day with a networking and celebratory reception for all. Meet our competing UG Alpha Students and graduates.  All are welcome.

8 p.m. – Dinner for Alumni and Friends of IMC: Offsite – Lantern Restaurant

8:30-12:50p.m. – Undergrad Alpha Competition: McColl classrooms
We are pleased to host the third Undergraduate Alpha Competition. This competition has doubled in size since its inception! See our 175+ undergraduate students (mostly first-years and sophomores) participate, led by the Investment Management Center, Smart Woman Securities, Fixed Income Association/Wealth Management Association, Carolina Investment Group, UNC Asset and Wealth Management Club, Credit and Restructuring Club, and our MBA Alpha Challenge chair and mentors. Come and watch our undergraduate talent battle it out. All welcome!

Thursday, April 24:

9:30-11 a.m. – Brunch – Fundamental Investment Practicum Reunion: Crossroads, Chapel Hill
Alumni of the Fundamental Investment Practicum are welcome to meet for brunch at Crossroads Restaurant (at the Carolina Inn). Arrive when you can, network and casually socialize before Thursday events kick-off.

Friday, April 25:

2:30-4:30 p.m. – Post Event Activity: Top Golf, Durham
